iTind – Minimally invasive treatment for BPH (Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia)

What is the iTind?

The iTind is a nitinol (nickel + titanium) device that is temporarily implanted in the prostate to improve bladder emptying. It is placed under sedation via the urethra and remains for 5 days, functioning like a spring that creates permanent channels in the prostate to allow for better bladder emptying even after the device is removed.

How is the iTind procedure performed?

The iTind procedure is a simple intervention. The device is introduced into the prostatic urethra in a folded configuration. During the 5-day treatment, it expands, applying gentle pressure at three specific points to create new channels that allow urine to flow through the urethra. After this period, the device is completely removed.
