Thulium laser

Thulium laser vaporization is a procedure performed via the urethra that allows for the vaporization of the prostate. This means creating a tunnel in the prostate to improve urination, with a low risk of postoperative bleeding.

When is Thulium laser recommended?

Thulium laser vaporization is ideal for prostates smaller than 40 or 50 cubic centimeters, in patients who have a high risk of postoperative bleeding due to the medication they take or underlying conditions they suffer from.

El láser de Tulio es una herramienta avanzada que permite una precisión excepcional en la vaporización del tejido prostático agrandado, aliviando así los síntomas asociados con esta condición.

What advantages does this treatment offer?

The Thulium laser allows for the vaporization of prostate tissue and excellent coagulation, resulting in a lower risk of postoperative bleeding. This enables the procedure to be performed with a short hospital stay and the removal of the urinary catheter 24 hours after the intervention.
