Last week, Dr. Josep Torremadé, Director of Andrologia Barcelona and Head of the Andrology Unit at Hospital Clínic de Barcelona, participated as a faculty member at the 11th Kiel School of Penile Surgery for Serious Implanters 2026, held on 2–3 July at the Institute of Anatomy of the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, Germany. The course brought together leading international experts in penile prosthetic surgery to discuss the latest innovations and provide advanced hands-on surgical training.
During the scientific program, Dr. Torremadé delivered the lecture “Complications of IPP Surgery & Prevention of Infection”, sharing current strategies to prevent and manage complications associated with inflatable penile prosthesis surgery. He also participated alongside Prof. Daniar Osmonov and Prof. Thilo Wedel in the anatomical session on reservoir placement challenges and served as faculty during the cadaveric hands-on workshops.
Participation in this prestigious international course reflects Andrologia Barcelona’s commitment to surgical excellence, innovation, education, and the continuous exchange of knowledge with leading specialists in sexual medicine and reconstructive urology.
