Once again, Dr. Josep Torremadé Barreda has travelled to the Hospital Central Militar in Mexico City to take part in the annual Reconstructive Surgery and Andrology course, continuing his collaboration with this international meeting focused on education and knowledge exchange among specialists.
This year, Dr. Torremadé participated in a live surgical procedure, performing the implantation of a three-piece penile prosthesis in a patient with Peyronie’s disease.
The combination of erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s disease is an increasingly common clinical scenario and can present significant challenges in surgical management. Live surgery provides an opportunity to share the practical aspects of surgical planning, technical considerations and strategies for addressing the specific characteristics of these patients.
This participation follows on from last year’s experience, when Dr. Torremadé also took part in the programme at the Hospital Central Militar. During that edition, he participated in the penile prosthesis session, addressing the main complications that may arise during the procedure and strategies for preventing them, as well as taking part in two live penile prosthesis surgeries.
These international meetings provide an excellent opportunity to share experience, knowledge and different surgical approaches with specialists from other countries, promoting continued medical education and professional exchange in the fields of Andrology and Reconstructive Surgery.
