A training experience in andrology and urology
At TAUS Clinics Barcelona, we had the pleasure of welcoming Juhi Hariawala, who completed an 80-hour medical internship over six weeks alongside Dr. Josep Torremadé Barreda and our team of andrologists and urologists.
During her time at the clinic, Juhi observed consultations related to Peyronie’s disease, prostate cancer, and other conditions affecting male reproductive health, gaining direct insight into specialized clinical practice.
Clinical learning and surgical experience
As part of her training, she also had the opportunity to observe different surgical procedures at Hospital Plató, including corporoplasties using plication and grafting techniques, ureteroscopies with laser lithotripsy, and a hydrocelectomy in which she was able to participate in the operating room.
She was also invited to attend the Uroforum Conference 2026, held at the University of Barcelona, where she witnessed international clinical discussions and live surgical demonstrations in the field of urology.
An enriching experience for both sides
Her stay in Barcelona also allowed her to learn more about the Spanish healthcare system, practice the language, and enjoy a valuable cultural and professional experience before beginning medical school in July.
