On September 26th, at Andrología Barcelona, we brought to a close a very special chapter in which we had the pleasure of hosting Annalisa Been, a promising international Psychology (BSc) student at the University of Bath. Over the course of one month, Annalisa had the opportunity to embark on her first experience as a psychology intern under the mentorship of our clinical psychologist and sexologist, Verónica Vivero Hernández.
Thanks to our collaboration with Euroace, a renowned internship school that facilitates international internships, Annalisa was able to fully integrate into our clinic’s team, learning first-hand about the intersection between clinical psychology, sexology, and medical health. During this experience, Annalisa not only applied the theoretical knowledge she had acquired during her two years of study, but also had the chance to observe direct patient care, gaining a deep understanding of what it means to work in the fields of Clinical Psychology and Sexology.
As Annalisa expressed in her own words: “Working alongside such a passionate and experienced group of professionals has helped me grow in various aspects, both personally and professionally. This experience has taught me about the power of empathy, active listening, and mostly the importance of collaborative working.”
